I recently put a premier cd deck in my car and everything worked perfect. I went back in today to run wires to a sub in the trunk. Now the deck will not turn on! I tried to put the old deck in and the same thing. Everything in the car still works. I checked the audio fuse and it is still good. Could it be another fuse?

 

can you explain all equipment and how everything is connected?

 

check all your fuses, if no wires has pulled apart ont he adapter harness, its gotta be a fuse...

the audio fuse maynot be the one that poewrs the HU part...check other stuff, like interior dome lights etc

Everything is connected with an adapter harness. I took the adapter harness off and plugged in the stock unit with the same problem. It did not turn on. All the dome lights and everything turn on just not the stereo.

 

did you check the fuses under the hood by the battery too?

My guess is you didn't disconnect the negative battery terminal when wiring for the sub and you shorted something out and blew a fuse.

 

haha your right. I need to check those fuses! I was checking the interior fuses
