How can i disable the stock subwoofer? I just installed a head unit and ran all wires needed for my sub and amp. Im ready to finish but i cant figure out which wire i need to dissonecct to just disable the stock sub woofer. got my car apart want to finish need a answer if asap if possible thnx.

anyone i really am stumped if i disconnect the stock amp then all the speakers go out i just want to disconnect the stock sub. And use the stock interiors

 

Dude just disconnect the factory sub, if you take out the amp it's also installed to your components. You have the BOSE right?

 

Meaning just take off the bose panel, unscrew the sub and disconnect it, you shouldn't have a problem, the stock BOSE amp is buried under everything in the trunk and has a lot of wires.

 

thnx i was hoping there was wire from the radio harnes i could just not connect to disable it. But i guess im gunna have to open the panel and take the sub out completley

 

yeah dude the BOSE BLOWS. Even the components are wired up weird, they have male and female plugs, so if you ever go to sell it, you need to sale it all complete all the wires too. Best bet is to just remove the panel and disconnect the sub.

 

thnx for the help now its prolly a PITA to get to that stock sub hope not lol
