I'm not sure if this will work, but give it a try:

http://www.*********.com/zwiki/Garmi...350Z_cubbyhole

if it removes the main website, its at 350z tech with a dash in between.

Your TomTom is small enough to easily fit inside the upper/forward cubby. Check the mount they call "ProClip." It's designed for shallow and versatile mounting. You may need to do some custom fabrication, but it will fit.

^^ Here is the web page.

It appears the mount is narrow enough to fit the cubby space. I think you will need to fabricate your own mounting plate. I wouldn't drill into the back of the cubby. It would be better to make your own plate and drill into that. Then attach it with double-sided tape. or any adhesive pad that releases when heated (hair dryer).

^^ The mount I referenced protrudes < 1.5”. That fits with room to spare. Of course you need to do a minor custom fabrication job (making a base/plate that you screw the ProClip mount into). Your “custom fabricated” base/plate is then attached to the rear wall of the upper/forward cubby (using double-sided tape or any adhesive pad that will release when applying heat so that it is a reversible installation).

The Garmin mount you bought will work as well. You may need to do a little custom fabrication on this piece.

I just put in the TOMTOM One XL S text-to-speech in the cubby perfectly with the provided suction mount and mounting disc. It mounts sideways and aims the unit a bit to the driver. Perfect fit. Looks almost like it came with the car.

btw, the S has bluetooth to manage the phones
