Default rear speaker removal question.. please help

ok im looking to take out the rear speaker panel so i can custom fiberglass a sub box that will fit my 2 12" and add my components that I have on the sides. my question is has any1 tried taking out that whole panel, not just the plastics? or is it time to chop it off? not sure if its removable or the metal is welded to the frame of the car. please help

He wasn't talking about the rear body panel, he was referring to the car itself.....

Those contacts don't look welded as much as they look hydro formed or pressed. If you're hell bent on changing the structure, at least the good news is that it is not welded or riveted..

Have you considered an enclosure for under the strut tower brace in the hatch area? I think ZEnclosures sells one that holds two 12's...

there is no under strut bar 12" that i know of.. the diameter of the 12" and the space it would need to mount the sub is too much to be under the strut bar.. unless you get one from TC Customs that sticks out

the thing is i made an enclosure for under the strut bar and went and bought 2 10" kicker solo barics and i hate them. i love my rockford powers and need a vented box which means i need a lot bigger box then can possibly fit under the strut bar. this is why im thinking of taking out that panel all together b/c its a lot easier than fiberglassing the whole back. plus i wanna be able to get to the spare with no problems.

www.photobucket.com

just go there, open an account, upload the pictures, and once you're done, you'll see little tags on the webpage under the pictures you've uploaded that have a "[img]" at the beginning. put that in your post and it will show the picture.
