Hey all, thinking about picking up one of these units...

1. I was thinking of using this head unit with the factory speakers for a little while, will this work ok (sound "ok")? - non bose system

2. Are you able to change the color of the backlit buttons (to amber)?

3. Would I be able to burn a Data CD full of MP3s and copy them over to the head unit?

4. Is it work the extra $$$ just to pick up a Z2 or even Z3?

 

i was also wondering about the Z1/Z2's abilities to change the backlight on the buttons to amber. can anyone answer this?

I have a Z1. The button colors are fixed. MP3 Data CD can't be copied to the hard drive. Only audio CDs.

 

How do you think it would work with the factory speakers?

 

I have installed the Z2 in my Z, and switched out the factory speakers with speakers from Polk.The factory speakers are very cheap.
