I would take the eD 13Ov2 over a JL w3 series.

You interested in that kind of sub? i can give you feedback just for the heck of it later on.

alot of people here seem to go with 10".. Im going to try a custom box with this 12" and see how it sounds.

if you sign up at some forums, you get a discount off elemental design products also.
I was thinking about buying from them also.

I hear ya, i kind of followed your posts about using a 2-10" box, then you went to 1-12" box and which sub you wanted and reducing the volume in your box. It's not easy to make up your mind all the time.

So I think the final verdict is you are going with:
XtremeKustoms single 12" box, and reducing it from 1.5ft^3 to approx 1.0ft^3.
eD 13Ov2 12" subwoofer.

Did you decide on the amp? Are you keeping the Alpine? I think the Alpine will work fine on that eD sub.

Yes, after alot of pounding the box last night with extra slabs of wood I think I might have gotten it down to 1.1 -1.25, we will see. I guess I will just have to wait and see. I am going to keep the Alpine amp. I am tired of spending money on things that are really pointless but I like music and I am convinced a 10 inch sub will never satisfy my taste that a 12 inch would.

One question though, since I have two 10 Type R' now and each is hooked up to it's own independent Alpine amps when disconecting the other amp to go down to one do I just disconnect the other amp from the Distribution block and take out of the car or do I need to completely rearrange RCA jacks behind the deck too.

R,

Julius

Well, when removing the amp, you are going to be removing the power, ground, remote turn on, and rca cables for the amp being removed. I am not sure how your rca's are coming off the headunit to the 2 amps. did you use a Y-splitter?

OK, I 'm not sure how it's ran, I do have a passive EQ though. Here is a stupid question, couldn't I run each amp to each voice coil then?

You could in theory, but it's NOT advisable.
