Default Please Help im leaving tommorow for school

OK. Here goes i have done everything i know to get rid of the wine.

I am running an alpine 9800bt to a Lanzar Optix 3b crossover down my center console. from there i run my rca's to an Alpine PDX 4.100 and a Alpine PDX 1.600 When just my sub's RCA's are plugged in i get no noise at all. (the 4.100 is plugged in and on just no RCA's Connected) As soon as i connect the RCA's to the 4.100 i get a hum and as soon as i touch the gas i hear it loud and clear.

Things I have done

1) The RCA's are run down the center console away from the speaker wire, power and ground from my Battery.
2) Grounded the RCA's on my headunit
3) Have a Ground loop isolator ( it doesn't make a difference if its on or off)

There is a slight hum coming from the Lanzar crossover. i am leaving for school on Sunday and really need to get this working before then.

Thanks James

1. Just a quick suggestion but have you tried changing the location of the ground loop isolator?

2. Also have you grounded the head unit separately (e.g. not using the ground wire on the factory head unit wire harness)? I used the location labeled "Ground#2" in this pic:

3. When you say "grounded the rca's" did you mean this?

Couple of things to check/consider

1) Did you remove the paint from the ground points?
2) Is the Ground point for your amps a large enough non isolated piece of metal?
3) Are you using the factory ground from your battery to the chassis?
If not Consider upgrading to a 4AWG wire and remove the paint cuz Nissan didn't

Is the noise completely gone when the car is off?

I was researching this issue a little more over at diymobileaudio.com and it seems as though preout noise on Pioneer head units is becoming an issue with numerous owners. I find that surprising given the number of head units they sell.

Check this (long) thread which has some fixes (once you've exhausted trying everything else). It will involve some soldering.

I don't own a Pioneer unit but just trying to help you out with some searching

This sounds like a “classic” ground problem. The test is grounding all devices to a single wire and ground point. That’s somewhat of a hassle, but it provides a definitive answer.

If the problem goes away using this test, the solution is obvious. If the problem continues, you simply begin disconnecting devices until the problem goes away (the last disconnect is the problem).

wow... thanks for all the quick replies.

Ge|atinousFury -
1) yes i have grounded my head unit using the factory and ground #1.
2) yes that is what i did by grounding the RCA's
3) I moved the isolator off of the tweeter's RCA's after the Active crossover and placed it before the Unit and it helped a little bit

Ichigo-
1) They are so shiny the burned my eyes
2) on the main chasse body
3) Factory ground plus a 0 gauge wire (yes i know its overkill)
4) yeppers

Spike-

All of my devices are grounded to a current location. they all run to a distribution block which the has a half a foot run to the chase Body. I don't know what the problem device is because as soon as i remove the crossover my amps no longer get a signal correct?

******************
GENERAL UPDATE
******************
After moving the isolator and reducing the gain to 25% on my crossover and raising the gains on my amps to about 60-70% the sound is only audible 2500+ rpm's sitting still with the volume on 0. I don't know what fixed it but at this point in time i got a **** load of other stuff to do, that this can wait until i can get all my tools ect up to school with me to tackle it there. Thanks for everyones help and any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
