Dont think that space is big enough to handle something like the Type X.

The OEM Bose subwoofer location is a less than optimal choice for mounting an aftermarket subwoofer unless you buy (or make) the Wicked CAS glovebox enclosure. It is the only way I would recommend installing a sub there. There are countless threads on this.

Youll have to have an enclosure of some kind. And it would be a pain in the a$$ to install. You have a Roadster or Coupe? If you have a Coupe and want space you can do something like i did for my type-x

"as good as the Bose"????????? what about anything Bose makes anymore sounds good?

just dropping in an aftermarket sub into the OEM sub location is not going to sound good. There have been countless threads on this topic. The Search feature is your best friend.

Looking to get the Nismo. i want to put in the "Bose" location use the oem grill--remove the Bose logo and place the alpine logo on it. Trying to keep a stock look w/ exception of headunit.

Unless you are planning on fabricating a fiberglass enclosure in there, it's not worth the time/effort to just drop a sub in the OE location. It is not an optimal position for a sub.

It may fit, but it would be a waste to put anything good in the factory Bose location. It won't sound comparitively good no matter what you put in the stock location, so you'd be better off just putting a $50 sub back there
