I think I can change a tire.

The answer you're looking for is no, they don't plug holes while you're on the side of the road. They'll tow you to a facility who'll fix your flat at your expense.

there is a sevice where they will patch up your hole if needed. They got one of those tire machines in the back of the truck so they can take off your tire properly. I had to do that once. i thought it was pretty neat.

i tell all my customers this, since i do 90 percent spare tire removal installs...and i myself has been spareless for 12 years now
hell, many of the new cars dont even come wtih spares at all.
in town: AAA card, or a can of fix-a-flat, fixaflat should be last ditch if you are in a huge rush and cannot wait for AAA, as the stuff really makes the tire changing techs hate your guts lol
long trips or trips going into the boonies: throw the spare in the car, it will still take up less room than having af ull system in the trunk

Everyone that keeps throwing around the "fix-a-flat" goo idea please keep in mind that should you go that route your TPMS sensor will, in all likelihood, be garbage once you squirt that crap into your tire. So now you have the cost of the tire repair, PLUS the cost of replacing a tire pressure sensor to deal with.
I haven't personally experienced this in our Z's, but this is the way it was in my previous car. It didn't even come with a spare, but lots of us replaced the runflat tires with better rubber and in doing so we assumed the responsibility of dealing with "no spare and no runflat tires". Same situation. If you used fix-a-flat your tire pressure sensor on that wheel was toast. I have no reason to believe the Nissan sensors are any different than the Corvette sensors.
Just a thought.
