Does anyone know the easiest way to wire a sub from that area to the storage compartment behind the passenger seat?

I don't know if this is the easiest way or the only way, but I removed the rear speaker panel in order to get access to all the holes where I can thread the wires through. I placed my amp in the compartment behind the passenger seat and started threading the wires through from the floor (hole) of the compartment and just worked my way back. I think it was pretty easy.

I just got my box in and I can't seem to stop it from leaking. I'm installing a JL 10w6 and it leaks really bad all around the surround. I think the vinyl is causing the problem. I've tried everything to make it stop with no luck. I think the vibrations people are hearing are actually the sound of air leaking out of the box.

Have you tried putting some plumbers putty between the the box and the sub?

How does that 10W6 fit? That is what we initially wanted to get, but was very concerned that the sub would be too deep.

not to insult you or anything...

Are you sure the speaker is sitting flush on the lip of the box? When I mounted my 10W3, the opening of the box was not big enough to allow the speaker to fully seat. I am wondering if this might be the case for most JL subs. I used a dremel with a sanding wheel to shave some off. Take a close look at the speaker in the box. If you find you do need to sand - be careful - it goes quick, be sure to not remove too much!!!

Ok I’ve tried just about everything to stop the leak. Upon further inspection it appears that the enclosures top is not level. The sub rocks back and forth and creates a gap at the bottom of the speaker where air leaks out. Can someone else test there enclosure to leaks. Put you hand near the bottom of the box and feel for air when the sub hits. My only solution may be to silicone the speaker in the enclosure. However, I’d rather not do this. I’m going to contact Paul tomorrow and see if he can take a look at the enclosure or possibly send me a new one. Overall the enclosure looks great however it sounds horrible with the leak.

This is exactly what happened to mine.
Have you given any thought to sanding out the opening, which will allow the sub to fit correctly?

I already tried sanding the hole bigger. Still no luck. I'm pretty sure the top is uneven. I tried just laying the rubber trim ring on top of the whole and it dosn't lie flat. I sent an email off to Paul last night.

1. Paul is a great guy but not an e-mail guy. He will be very helpful but calling is best way to get him. My experience is call him past 9am Pacific time. He is off one day (M-F) but I cannot recall which one. I think it is Monday he is off but not sure. Get ahaold of him, this is a great enclosure, you need to get it right to appreciate it.

2. I am concerned about some of you saying you are not fastening the enclosure to the car. Are you sure that works out well? I know I corner so hard, I think it would fly all over the car + what about rattling?

The more I think about it, if you cannot get the speaker to seal right, pay a good installer $30 to do the entire job. Paul told me that is all it should cost you and then you can enjoy it to the fullest. Why have a 35K car with a great enclosure that is not right?

So far, I haven't noticed any problems. The enclosure fits snuggly into the corner of the trunk/wheel well. I have taken a couple of tight turns at high speed and have not had it move. I also haven't noticed any rattles or anything. Paul has made a good enclosure that fits VERY well. Eventually, I will end up mounting the enclosure, but until I finish doing some of the other stuff, I will leave it like it is.
