I just bought a 350z and i'm looking to put in a sub. I already have a 12, and i just bought this head unit
http://www.valordvd.com/product/Prod...uctid=DTS-660W

anyways, i looking for an amp to power everything. i would like to keep all the speakers in the car, can anyone suggest an amp that is less than $200 that will be able to power the car? i'm kinda new to audio so would i need a 6 channel amp? or a 4 channel and a mono? thanks for the help

I smell spam. Linking an offbrand HU's site online as the first post is a bit "off".

So you have a 12" sub....what brand and model?

Are you replacing the other speakers?

$200 for 5 channels of amplification is tough........

EDIT:
That head has a built in 4 channel amp, if you are keeping the stock speakers, just get a mono amp for the sub. Don't bother with an outboard amp for the stockers.

ok thanks man i didn't notice that. i just bought it on ebay, so i haven't got it yet. so what else would i need to do this? this is my first audio installation. do i need capacitators or anything or does all the stuff i need some with a amp/sub kit? this is going to be my first amp/sub installation. the sub i have is actually a 10, i forgot i left the 12 in the bimmer i just sold before i bought the z. the sub i have is the Alpine SWS-1043D. i don't listen to much rap, mostly rock, so i don't need this thing to bump hard. i just like a little low end.

A monoblock amp that pushed rated rms power to your sub, and a single amp power wiring kit, and a pair of rca cables. You can opt to install some sound damping if you want to quell the rattles and creaks of the interior.
