Definitely A Newbie Question

@OP - Glad you got it going. DIY is sooo much more fulfilling that writing a check. And I know, I've written a LOT of checks.

EDIT: For sure I agree: "Hell figuring out what they asked versus what they REALLY want to know is half the fun." Truthfully, I do enjoy this and don't consider it a waste of time. It's recreational time that keeps me sharp in my old-age.

The only thing I used on the 'power' harness was the mute and I grounded it with the ebrake.
I have Bose and when I was connecting everything, I never noticed these types of plugs.

Those two components. I have them on my harness but I did not see anywhere to plug them in!

I researched like crazy and figured out I need to ditch the antenna wire for the amp wire. I guess it's different depending on if you have Bose or not.Either way, the Bose SUCKS.
Now all I gotta do is figure out why bluetooth isn't even recognized (system) and why I can't hear or see movies from my iPhone

As for movies from your iPhone. You better research that too, possibly at avic411.com. AFAIK the iPhone won't deliver video to the D3. I don't know that for certain because I don't use an iPhone. But I understand the iPhone was to require a "special" Apple cable (encryption perhaps?) to deliver video-out to ANY display device and the standard iPod control cable that comes with the D3 isn't it. So, in other words, your music should work just fine from the iPhone but you won't get video.
You can troubleshoot this easily enough. Borrow someone's iPod video (last gen iPod), hook it to your D3 as normal and see if you get video. I have three iPod's, a 3rd Gen, an iPod video and an iPod touch. All should deliver music just fine to the D3. The iPod video plays music and video just fine on the D3. Supposedly the touch has the same video "problem" the iPhone has, but honestly I've never tried the touch in the car.
Hope that helps.

Thanks! It does help. I get playlists and such from the iPhone but no sound. Not sure if its a setting, but I'm sure its not my phone as I tested it with other iPhones. I've searched around for that iPhone cable that plays movies, but all I hear about is that they have 3 cords at the end.
Going to restard the D3 and see if it recognizes the bluetooth system.
