subwoofer issue
I recently took out the subwoofer behind the driver seat. I unplugged it in order to check up the fuel pump. I made sure everythin was plugged back in. Now the subwoofer is makin popping sounds whenever I play music so it would cut on and off at random times. Sometimes i would jus bang it a little and it would fix the problem or if I leave it alone the bass would come back on.. any ideas?
so u say it's the wiring issue? it's weird as soon as i lay the subwoofer back in it's original place it would boom then later on it would make that poppin sound which causes to turn on and off.. do u think i should inspect the wires again? im pretty sure the subwoofer isnt damaged if it plays..

It makes no difference what forum it's posted in. There are no threads that have helped me with the issue, the more people who read the thread the better chance in resolving the problem. Thanks for your worthless reply, next time I'll choose a car that not so many @SSHOLES have. Can't even get an answer nowadays w/o someone crying about the wrong thead, searching etc..

I've searched for a fix to the problem but have had no luck. All I get is a bunch of rednecks telling me to search but there is nothing that has helped. Some of you have to get off your high horse. I bought a Z because it was an ok car for the money. I guess in Oklahoma City the Z is the best thing since the monster truck but in LA the Z isn't ****. I don't come onto this site and waste my time asking for help just to get some damn hick to tell me to search. Fu@k this site and all the redneck hick Z drivers with all their little mods that make them God. I don't have an issue with anyone except those who come from the middle of nowhere, will never go anywhere, and talk **** to those who ask for help with this car. Stay lost with your Z in Oklahoma City and keep lying to yourself about how great you and your car are. Probably nothing better to do where you're from, I sympathize for you.
Carlos,
I’m pretty sure (well maybe 90%) that this is a ground problem where the proper resistance was disturbed somehow when components were removed and then replaced.
I experienced nearly the same thing, but with my front speakers when installing a PAC Audio Source Switcher (to add a mute feature to my H/U when sending navigation voice commands to the front speakers). I went from no sound to pops, depending upon the resistor I used with my ground.
I realize that my comments are not specific, and therefore not very useful. I’m just mentioning my experience, that seem to fit your problem, in the hope it will provide at least a clue or starting place to investigate the problem.
I know how frustrating this type of thing can be, and certainly enduring useless advice and comments (e.g., “do a search”) only add to the aggravation.
I understand why you’re irritated with some of the responses you received. When I had this same problem, a search did not reveal anything useful. In my case, Paul350Z posted a response on my thread with specific information that guided me to the solution.
Wish I could provide better information.

You're right about the useless advice in this site. I didn't start this thread and came about it by doing a search, hence the "subwoofer issue" heading of the thread. I'll will take another look at the wiring again and see if that will help with the problem. Thanks for the info.
