Default Kenwood DNX7100 owners, I got a quick question

I just bought a dnx7100 and read somewhere that I should get a Metra dash kit.

Is this the right one? And why is it recommended to get a Metra kit again?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSA...spagenameZWDVW

It doesnt look like its made for a double din unit...

Also I need an 03 cubby because I was going to put a second screen in there. Anybody mind linking me to where I can buy one at?
Thanks.

well metra kit is just a dash kit and you need a dash kit for aftermarket headunits.

Do I have to break the bar in the middle?

Thats the right one you have to cut out the middle bar. The 03 cubby can be found here http://mynismo.com/products/?id=4445

Oh and by the way you can get that dash kit at Circuit City for the same price as the one on ebay (with shipping included) and not have to wait for it to be shipped.

I got my unit in and I think I am missing something.

The installation manual shows that it should come with a sleeve for the unit to slide into but mine didnt come with it. Accessory #5. I bought my brand new in the box so I dont see why this would be missing.

Can anyone confirm if this piece is included?

Is it needed?

From what I have seen and experienced with the double din installs with the Z,,you will not use the metal mounting sleeve. You will use the factory brackets and the Metra or similar dash kit. At least,,,with my W-200, I did not use the metal sleeve.

Yo don't need the metal mounting sleeve that is supplied with the headunit.

Use the Metra plastic spacers on both sides and then the front trim piece. It's all you need from the Metra kit.
