IPOD car kit
Trying to listen to my Ipod in my ZR. I searched at Best buy and Walmart and the price is between $75-$150 for an FM conversion kit. Anyone know of any other place to get a IPOD car kit cheaper than those places? Thanks!

just get the tape adapter then...it shouldnt cost much more than about $15 and IMO still sounds pretty good. If you listen at a relatively low volume you will hear the tape mechanism running but I think it's better than an FM transmitter. It's atleast worth the money to try it, if you don't like it it's only 15 bucks. Ive been using mine for a few years now.
there's also the PAC-NIS direct hookup but thats $100+ and you'll have to run wires to the back of the HU.

you can find a few different tape deck adaptors at best buy. This is what I use with my ipod video. It will sound clear, but not great. You can't turn it up very high. But mine was only about $25. They have some really expensive ones too.

I have a **** ton of the cassette adapters that used to come in XM satelite radio car kits. I can give you one. Shouldn't be too much to ship. Hell I can send you two or three. Prolly will fit in a larger padded envelope. Let me know. To bad you don't live close.

not sure if you are aware of the usa spec ipod to factory infiniti/nissan 350z.
all you have to do to check it out if you dont is goto amazon
and enter in this "pa11-nis" that's the model number just put that in the search and youll be able to read about that adapter it works with the factory stereo and will also keep it charged.
just a heads up. this is the route and item i got to put my old ipod nano 4gb to use in my 350z roadster.
works with 04-07 it says anyways like i said if you heard of it nvm hehe.

man you guys are lame..wasting big bucks on pac-niss and stuff like that...
i just spent less than 60 bucks for the ipod stuff in my car. I got the RCA cables with the usb cord from Apple store. From walmart, i got the car charger that is only can be connected to a USB cable.
Hook the RCA to headunit and USB to charger and hook it in the car..you got a ipod that can charge and play music, music video, movies.
but sure you wont be able to control it from the headunit...sux but get used to it..STOP BEING LAZY and see the silver lining in every bad stuff!!!
i'm happy with it.

It would be nice if you spelled correctly and used proper grammar.
