Default will these fit?

if im trying to do a stealth install in my doors, will these fit behind the grills of the front speakers??? that is, after taking off those optional ones that come with them..

i understand the tweeters might not, but the speakers are only 2.75" deep...

and anyone have any input on these???

I am going with the DLS UP6.. I know those will fit. I don't really have any other suggestions.. The thing to remember about fitting speakers in the stock location is.. its not about the mounting depth, its about the diameter of the magnet. You just have to get by the window....

Those speakers have very wide magnets.

Mounting speakers in the Z’s stock door position:

Depth from wall at 2.2” (56mm) seems to fit any magnet diameter. Past that depth (or at least at 2.45” or greater depth), magnet diameter becomes significant.

hate to keep asking questions, but what is the maximum width of a magnet for a
2.6" deep speaker???

^^ That’s actually a difficult question. Most of the advice you will receive from members is based upon limited and personal (and not broad) experience.

I would pm one of our my350z.com Sponsors specializing in A/V. They can sell you the correct speaker and spacer.

what about rainbow SLC 265s? anyone install those???? im really interested in them, except that supposedly any little bit of water ruins them, and given that i live in Washington, it gets real wet here. any way of waterproofing them even w/o losing sq?
