Now I'm researching for upgrading the audio on my G and I'm considering the AVH-P6000DVD. I know it's twice the price of AVH-4000DVD, but it has in-dash 6-disc changer like my OEM unit, which is a very attractive feature for me.

Does anyone else have any experience or knowledge about the reviews on this unit?

i hate those 6 disc changers. we're heading into a digital age. so something like the Ipod would be much better.

I have a question about the deck that I would like to ask. I recently just installed 2 amps, and a subwoofer along with components. Everything seems to be working fine but I keep getting a beeping sound every once in a while almost like a alarm. I have no clue what the hell it is. I do know its comming from the deck but just cannot pin point from what. It never happened until I installed the amps and sub. Open to any suggestions.

my question is if you connect an ipod touch to it can you play videos on the deck? if so, are they full screen?

If I remember correctly, you should be able to do that. I haven't done it in a while, but I had a movie downloaded to my ipod nano and it played fine.

I have this unit in my Z and it does play video. I have several movies and music videos on it, and it plays them perfectly.

I have my iPod loaded with videos and plugged in via the USB iPod cable, not RCA. This way, you can browse your video playlists and use the touch screen to control the video rather than having to use the iPod controls themselves. You could use the iPod video cables as well and use the AUX port, but again you'd have to use the iPod itself to control the video rather than the touch screen. The only problem is that the videos have to be in a specific format (I believe it is .mpg) and the right resolution to fit the screen. Other than that, they look great.

did a lil research... run the rca cables to radio and use the usb for battery power on a dock station .... mount the zune ... and use the wiresless remote...

I think I misunderstood your earlier post...I thought you were referring to the iPod video capability, not the Zunes. I know it is possible to run the Zune with video, though but as you said, you will have to use RCA cables.

You need to change your background color to orange to match the rest of the controls color.

Why exactly cant you have nav with this unit? I like the unit but would like nav? Does everyone mean that the nav just doesnt come alread installed? Could I buy a seperate nav system and just connect it to the monitor?

I dont think so... thats one of the things i hate about it...2nd freaking background?! and 3rd ..I have a usb hard drive with 17GB of music...if i have it on random, touch next..it should go to another random song, instead it goes to the next song on the list.
