Smile Thinking about placing the amp under the amp rack

This might be a odd question, not sure. I'd like to purchase a single 10" sub with the 10" single zenclosure available on ebay. I've attached a picture for better explanation of what I'd like to do.

2 Questions:

1. Is it possible to install the amp on the back of the zenclosure back AND have the amp rack on top?

2. If possible, can I store small things underneath the amp rack?

I've tried to search the threads but couldn't find anything. Why would I do this? I'd like to keep things with a clean / stealth / hidden look without having to worry about a nice JL Amp on display if someone walked by the car. Add the dark tint on the back and I can sleep a little better at night.

Thanks,

Mark

There's no pick, and since I'm not sure of the ventilation under the amp rack, I would just worry about overheating the amp. I've done that a many times, when my amp was under my seat in an F1Fiddy. Even if your amp has all these heat sinks and other crap, you need good ventilation or a fan on it.

And if you don't want anyone to see your subs and amp, just tint out the windows.

my amp rack is a b*tch to remove so i don't store anything under it since it won't be easy access. as for the amp a lot of people place theirs behind the driver's seat. I don't think my 500/1 jl amp would fit flat under the amp rack so wasn't an option.

Depends on what box you have.

If you have the type S zenclosure, you're not going to be able to mount the amp because it sits on the box. To the sides of the box you have a space that's approx 12"lx12"wx8-10"h on each side so I doubt that would work either.

Not sure about the regular boxes but it should work. See this guy's install - he even made it somehow showy:

^ That install was done by, Dom, Mr X on this forum (note there are two Mr X's here). He is also the person who did my install.
