Default get your pioneer Avic D3 while they last!

I called Al and Ed's today, and they confirmed that they will only get one more shipment on April 4. Once they are gone, thats it. I just ordered mine from them with the bose hookups and it will ship once they get them. I didn't want to get it from crutchfield because you have to get the bundle and I don't need bluetooth.

I purchased just the AvicD3 unit by itself because all I need is the ipod adapter, bose hookups, and metra kit.

the price just for the AvicD3 came out to only $520! With the outstanding reviews on this unit, you can't possibly go wrong with the price.

Update total with ipod adapter included. $589.52 with free shipping. I'll keep updating my grand total once installed.

All I have to buy is the relatively cheap ipod adapter and metra kit. oh yeah, which one for an 03 3fifty? thanks...

I am also getting a great deal on install!

I never thought I would be able to afford one of these. pretty happy

maybe this thread has more people's attention so I'll ask again...can I upgrade the navi discs later on if need be? Ah! I can't wait to watch some Training Day or We own the Night (Eva Mendez, first scene) on this!

if you do a quick search, there are members who have bought from them. They have a few shops in southern cali but you can buy online if your out of state. I believe they are a legal distributor of pioneer products.

They are an authorized dealer for Pioneer. I purchased mine from there last month and I would HIGHLY recommend them. Great customer service, fast shipping and awesome price!

yep! I was just speaking to them. Another shipment early next week so I hope to have everything installed by next weekend! oh, and they were nice enough to admit that the ipod PCIP and pioneer one is identical, but you pay $10 for pioneer name, so I went with the cheaper one.

Like built in navi memory? I believe so. It has a harddrive and all. Sorry I'm a newb with this stuff, but I have yet to hear a bad thing about them. Best bang for the buck.

Careful... Buying name brands make you become a "brand *****." LOL

Anyhow, I just had my D3 install and love it. I don't use CDs so I just leave the nav dvd in all the time. The Nav is awesome, iPod control is great and the XM NavTraffic (extra fee) works well! Overall best unit I've ever owned.

Theres debate about it. Yes, some people believe it is being discontinued to make way for the D4. I am not willing to watch and see what happens. lol. I waited too long for these things to come down in price, and they will always make parts/upgradable cds for it.

I called crutchfield, and they have the D3X bundle package, alot of them, about 400 or so they said. But I didn't need bluetooth, and they only sell it as a package. Al and Ed's sells both ways and will have one more shipment. Cartronix plus, another popular site said they don't have anymore left!

Thanks for the info, what did crutchfield quote you for the D3X?

I think on their site it showed $800. Now its $1,000. This is probably because on pioneer's website, it says the $200 discount was only good until the 31st. At the time, the salesmen quoted me $750. Again, you must buy the package from them, they don't sell just the unit alone. This is a perfect example of why you have to move on this if you want them. Pioneer keeps playing with the price. I think Al and Ed's still has the price that I bought mine from, but you should call them.

It has some built in memory to remember route calculations entered while the GPS DVDs are in. It does not have a hard drive. The unit with the 30 gb HD is the AVIC z2. The DVDs are used for pretty much everything involving the GPS functions on the D3.

I picked up a D3 for my gfs car back in November through Pioneer accomidations for $400 shipped with no tax. I got the Avic Z2 for my car with the Bluetooth for like $850 through the same accomidation program. Both are great units. The z2 is a lot nicer and easier to use however.

For more info on the units check out
http://avic411.com/

It's a great website.
