I ordered everything from Crutchfield so it came with plug n' play adapters
for most everything. I only had to tap into the VSS for the Navi and maybe one
other, I don't recall as it has been a year. When my iPod Touch is connected
the volume is the same as when I listen to XM or the radio. You can addjust the volume of the Voice Guidance so it is either higher or lower but that
doesn't account for the subs going in and out.

That sounds like a faulty connection of some kind.

In my setup, I did not use anything like the PAC converter.
