Default OEM HU is so dependable!

!!!
you know it'll crap out b4 the warranty is up!

This afternoon, no play, no eject, only the radio would work. Getting it looked at tomorrow, will most likely get it replaced.

Once the warranty is over on it and it fales it'll get replace by something worthy!

Yeah my 2006 headunit ate a CD literally while I was on the way to the car audio place to have my new headunit installed a couple years back. Talk about a pre-emptive strike on my part!

I'll wait because I've replaced electronics in previous cars prior to the bumper to bumper warranty ending and the dealership denied certain electronic claims.

If they do replace it see if you can keep the crappy one. I doubt they will let you keep it, but it is worth a try. I will buy it from you for 10-15 bucks if they do. Good Luck getting it resolved.

When mine crapped out I took it to the dealer. At that time I already had the aftermarket unit installed, so I hand-carried the defective OEM unit (with my cd still stuck in it) to the dealer and told them what happened. About a week later I went back and picked up my CD along with a brand new in box OEM head unit. I think the mentality is that they were going to have to replace the unit under warranty anyway, and I essentially saved them an hour of warranty labor to reinstall it. From that point of view they should be more than happy to just give you a replacement unit.
