Satellite radio setups
I have a headunit that is capable of being hooked up to satellite radio. Just need to get all the adapters to hook it all up.
In the meantime, I have a Roady XT for XM that I want to put in my Z, temporarily. But a good mounting location isn't obvious.
Has anyone else mounted their satellite receiver without going through a new, upgraded headunit?
Where/how did you mount it?
And do you have pics?

I have a roady XT hardwired installed.
pics!
I like it...never switched out my stock head unit. I have OEM NAV so i just spliced into the NAV screen and did an Xbox install. I have the audio of both the Xbox and the ROADY XT going through SR1 using the PAC Audio device. the pac audio device allows for two audio external devices to be played through the factory head unit.
These are the best pics i could find. sorry i dont have any XM ROADY XT direct pictures. I used the 3M double sided tape to install the roady on my Z dash. It's never fallen.
I routed the antenna outside no the corner of the drivers side windshield as shown in the 3rd picture. I used FOAM double sided 3M tape, because the rubber double sided tape will get hot and come off when the car is parked in the sun. windshield gets too hot.
