I just want something that is going to sound good, I'm going with the Zapco though.
My opinion if you're going the Zapco route is to get the DC Reference series as the processing capabilities of those amps put them in a class of their own.

Full range use of class D amps is still relatively new when compared to using AB amps. I haven't studied the design changes made when coming up with a full range class D, but class AB has been used forever now full range, and with so many options out there I would probably go that directions... not saying that its necessarily better than full range D, but you do know what you're getting.
All that being said, I don't have any personal experience with class D amps for full range use, just going with my gut.

I agree, but I have an Audio Control EQX that I am installing. I was unaware of the DC Ref. Series when I mentioned that I wanted an EQX for my birthday, so yes even though I'm turning 27, my parents still buy me that kind of stuff... I figure that with both devices I should be good to go, and still be out less money than if I went with just one DC Ref 200.2. It's not the money per se, it's just that I am not sure I would get much more bang for the buck.

Zapco makes some killer stuff, I just installed the 200.2 in my system to see what it sounded like, and it brought my Mids to life, class D's might have come a long way, but that AB is killer... Just my .02.

I get ya now! Having installed several Alpine PDX amps and owning a set of Eclipse XA amps, I can confidently say that this technology is definitely a contender in the mid-fi realm (where 85% of the consumer market is).
