Best Security System?
Ive heard numerous things about clifford and viper, and i dont know which one is better. Im looking for just the security, no remote start. Im also looking to try to spend below 600$ and i want it to be a 2 way alarm(with the pager) which alarms do you have/recommend?

Ravelco. It is a immobilizer. no cars ever driven off with this installed. it is not a alarm, so you will not know when someone is jacking your stereo, but your car will be there in the morning.
Also alarms are easy to bypass, unless you stack the security systems. You need back up batteries with a back up siren, also you need to hide the brain in some place other than under the drives side dash. put the siren in a very hard to reach place. Clifford used to have a system with or without an alarm. You had to put in a code, if it was not input correctly, the car would shut down after the brakes had been applied, about 2 blocks from where the car started.
Not to mention if you are not within 300 yards of your vehicle, chances are you will not get to the thief in time, and even if you do you really need a nice handgun to defend yourself, because they probably have a weapon.

Best alarm is to not bump around int he neighborhood, or anywhere near. Be cautious, and park in the garage as much as possible, hassle or not would you rather have your system stolen over not wanting to park in the garage? Plus I love the garage, a lot less dust on the car, rain, and stays cleaner for a longer period of time, and it's not hot when u get in the vehicle.

Can a 350z be stolen without the key with the immobilizer chip? I installed the Viper 5900 myself after a minor hit an run. The paging feature is ok, once you hit a big mall and/or parking lot its useless.
