Question Pioneer FH-P009MD?

I was messing around on the internet yesterday and came accross this headunit - Pioneer FH-P009MD - it looks absolutely awesome. It looks like it will fill up the stock CD player space and it has three dials on the bottom that follows the A/C controls.

Does anyone have this or know anything about it? The only stuff I can find on it is japanese.

That would look awesome in the Z. Especially with the 3 dials like you said. Good find to bad we can't get it here in the US.

Melting pot has it for like $1000 - but in Japan it looks like it goes for about 80,000 yen which is around $650! Quite a markup, maybe I'll just email some japanese stores and see if they speak english and take paypal.

Its a cultural thing. The Japanese have a superiority complex about themselves and the rest of the world. No offense to any asian members out there (in fact - many of you will agree to this statement) but it is a common statement that hairy people, like whites, indians, Arabs, etc are less evolved and "ape like" then the near hairless asian.

I have an asian girlfriend, so no prejudice coming from my end. Just a fact of mentality.

Anyways, because of this complex, the Japanese make certain "cream of the crop" products only available to themselves. And we wonder why their economy is fubarred.

That less evolved statement - thats what the Japanese (and to a very large extent the Chinese) say about other races (in case I was not clear.)

Anyone who reads Japanese know if this unit can be hooked up to a digital sound processor for surround sound? Only part I can figure out is it plays cds,mds and mp3s. Is the unit amplified?
This is only thing I have seen I would trade stock look for.

I've been looking for that head unit also and I've had no luck. I started looking for some other possible options, and kenwood has a few good looking double din head units.
