Anyone have experience with these subs/amp.
Kenwood KFC-W2511 10-inch subs and/or this amp Kenwood KAC-7204? Reason I am asking because I have any experience with subs/amp. Can someone tell me if these 2 combination is compatible. And if I get most potential out of subs with that amp. Any info would be very helpful.
AMP:
* 2/1-channel car amplifier
* 170 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (250 watts x 2 at 2 ohms)
* 500 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms (4 ohm stable in bridged mode)
* Max power output 1000 WATTS x 1 @ 4 ohms Bridge
* NEW FOR 2008- BUILT IN SIGNAL SENSING TURN ON- eliminates the need to run a turn on lead (many new factory radios do not have them)
* high-pass (12 dB per octave) and low-pass (24 dB per octave) filters variable from 50 to 200 Hz
* variable bass boost (0-18 dB at 40 Hz)
* cooling fan
* Blue illumination
* Dual Mono Drive
* MOSFET power supply
* CEA 2006 compliant
* speaker-level inputs with signal sensing turn-on
* preamp-level inputs and outputs
* fuse rating: 40A x 1
* 8-gauge power and ground leads recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
* 13-3/4"W x 2-1/4"H x 9-3/8"D
Sub:
* Sweet upgrade to any car audio system
* Kenwood woofer design features polypropylene cone with heavy duty rubber surround for deep bass throw
* Stainless steel finish adds strength and durability
* 1000 watts peak power
* Sold as a pair of woofers
* 50-300 watts RMS power range
* 30Hz-1000kHz frequency range
* 90dB sensitivity
* Stainless steel coated polypropylene woofer cone
* Oversized magnet cover keeps inner workings safe from moisture and dust
* Silver-plated push terminals
* Massive sized magnet assembly
* Reversible trim ring
* Extended pole piece
* Bumped back plate allows increased cone excursion and performance
* 6.625-inch top mount depth

need the specs on if its a single or dual voice coil sub and what ohm it is to find if its compatible.
found this: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...ures_and_specs
which shows that its a 4 ohm single voice coil sub and its rms power range is 50 -300 watts. and your amp is 500 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms (4 ohm stable in bridged mode)
so they are compatible although it may be a bit too much juice for the sub
