Question for Air/Fuel Gauge
Well...
I wanted to put in an Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge to show if my engine is running lean or not. The Question is, DOes the 350Z have an oxygen sensor? Either way do I still need to buy a wiring kit or not?

GReddy makes a gauge pod that I can buy for $20 that mounts on the A-Pillar. Or I was also thinking of a mounting cup to stick in the corner where the windshield meets the dash on the driver side so it's hidden from other people's view. I still don't know. Which do you reccomend.
If you plan on using the stock O2 as a tuning tool, it's rather useless. It will show the O2 is working by the lights going up and down, but an OBD2 car will give you a SES light if one fails.
Only way to tune a turbo car is on a dyno with a wideband O2. The stock narrowband O2 is not accurate enough except at 14.7 A/F and you want to be around 11.5'ish for max power.
I would save the money and spend it on a different mod.

If it uses the stock O2 to take it's reading then it's not accurate enough to do tuning with. No matter how great the read out is, if the sensor is off then the readings will be off.
Do you have a link to the Apexi unit? The Z is the wife's car and if there are some good tuning devices out there I am all for it.
I currently have a 1999 Formula with a ATI D1SC Procharger on it(tuning with LS1 Edit on the stock PCM) so I need to learn more about what is out there for tuning the Z.

What else, I am thinking of buying GReddy's Boost and EGT Peak/Hold Gauges. A wideband O2 is really expensive. Is oil temp important or not. It was important in my T-78 single turbo supra but how about with the Z? Should I just let the car cool off for about five minutes before turning it off and not get a gauge?
