Default Audio Build Advice

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on getting a new audio setup and wanted to get some advice. I currently have a stock bose system and I am content with the mids and highs but the bass is absolutely terrible. So I am planning to install a new sub and head unit and keep the bose fronts and rears. I just want a fuller sound and feel that a good sub will help round out the sound inside the car much better. Not looking to wake up the neighbors with my system.

I know Sony equipment isn't favored by most here but I work for Sony and get a huge discount on car audio products. That being said will this set up work well given the specs.

Headunit: Kenwood DDX812
- Already have stock Navi and this unit is a good price with built in BT. Plan to do the mod to allow stock Nav audio.

Box: Zenclosure Type S
Total volume of airspace - 0.80ft^3

Amp: Sony XM1S
mono subwoofer amplifier
290 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)

Sub: Sony 10" XSL104P5B
10" 4-ohm subwoofer
five-sided polypropylene cone with rubber surround
power range: 80-330 watts RMS (1,200 watts peak power)
sealed box volume: 0.78 cubic feet

Misc: PAC headunit adapter for Bose systems.

My questions are will this amp work well with the sub? Not sure if the watts/ohms are correct. Also, is this particular zenclosure box a good match for this sub? It appears that the sealed volume box requirement of the sub (0.78cf) barely fall under that of the box (0.80cf)

Minus the headunit I can get the box/amp/sub for under $300.

Thanks for any advice!

I suggest that you upgrade your speakers. but by judging from the specs that amp should be fine.

Awesome, really appreciate the advice. I'm sure eventually I'll get around to doing some components but for now I just need a quick, cost effective upgrade to the sound.

Thanks again.
