Question Audio Questions about sub?

I have a 03 touring model with factory BOSE and factory sub behind driver seat. Is it possible to remove the factory sub and replace it with an aftermarket sub in the factory location. I want better sound and a harder hit. Is this possible and what would fit? Has anyone done this? I would appreciate any help.

I wonder if something is wrong with my stock system? I currently have no bass and it is worst sounding system I have ever heard. That is unusual for BOSE.

^^ Does your car (your stock system) have the Z's OEM Bose system? I wasn't sure reading your message.

Since you have the factory Bose, your replacement of the OEM SubW requires a H/U replacement, new amp driving the new SubW, and new wiring… to get decent sound.

The stock position for the Bose SubW isn’t the best, but you can use this with aftermarket products.

You should do a search here to see many different opinions and solutions.

No not really. I too have the Bose system and I would rather listen to a flickering flourescent light than subject myself to my stock system sound. Its prefectly normal to be completely let down by it's performance. A total replacement is your best measure.

yeah you can but you will have to get a new head unit and new wiring to get around the stock bose amp and also a new amp and subwoofer with either a custom box or a free air sub
