Good HU with AUX, ANYONE?
I have an Alpine CDA-7893, I dont know if it has AUX IN...It doesn't look like there are any RCA IN in the back...
I want to hook up my xbox to my Alpine headunit and I do NOT want to use an FM Modulator...they sound horrible...IMHO.
So, I may need to sell this HU on ebay or something, its in perfect condition. Does anyone have any idea what headunit I should install...I want a nice looking headunit that can play XM or Sirius Radio and also has a decent output like alpines 60 watts per channel (mine is now).
I am looking to spend no more then 350...unless its incredable...I may spend more, but I dont need much because the XBOX is gonna do all the mp3, video, music I need (with the farenheit screen)...
Any Ideas as to what would FIT and what has AUX IN?
Thanks!

I'll buy your 7893 cheap!!!
Actually I think you do not need to sell your HU (of course I will buy any cheap working 7893 anyone else). I have been down the same path, looking for a good SQ headunit with AUX IN capabilities. What I found is that while most of the new Alpine HU's do not natively support an AUX-IN port, you can get an AI-NET adapter to get AUX-IN via RCA's.
If you don't already have an alpine changer you can get an
Alpine KCA-121B $14.99
If you already have an alpine changer, than you can buy the
Alpine KCA-801B Auxiliary $79.99
You can verify this by going to Crutchfield's Archive of equipment that lists the accessories for the 7893.

In my case, I am comparing the new Alpines vs. old Clarions vs. new Nakamichi. It's such a headache, but I need something that can match well with my Riocar Empeg. The trouble is that there is no single dealer that I have found in Boston that has all three brands, so I am going mostly off of Internet reviews.
