Having issues with the PAC OEM-1
Hey guys,
I just installed an older kenwood head unit and tried using that PAC OEM-1 interface and I'm having a few issues. The first was that I wasn't getting a good enough ground so I had to tap a wire that was attached to the chasis and then the deck finally turned on. After that, the deck was powered but no sound was coming out from any of the speakers. I've mucked around with the gains but to no avail. I'm currently using the high level inupt wires on the OEM-1 and left the low level ones alone.
At first I tried the splicing the rca trick and it worked but it had a considerable amount of alternator whine, so that's why I went this route, but now the speakers won't give any sound what so ever!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Cheers.

Thanks mate! Yah, I read a thread incorrectly as well, I thought I saw one post where the OP said not to use that wire. In any case, it solved everything and I have to say, I'm a huge fan of this thing! Great device. One question though, if I upgrade to another deck that has let's say, 50Watts X 4 (my current one is 44 X 4) am I going to see any gains in that department or will I basically get the same sound coming out of the speakers because of the bose amp?
Cheers again for the help!!
