Default GPS unit beside shift stick

i've seen a picture in this forum before where someone fitted a GPS unit beside the shift stick, spend almost 1 hour trying to find it but can't seem to find it again. anyone can post a pic up?

is there anywhere else i can fit my gps unit besides the cubby? i have a tomtom 720 and want to make it as stock as possible without troublesome wires hanging around...

Ummm I don't know if having it that low would be a good idea. I'd much rather have it higher towards the windshield so you don't take your eyes TOO much off the road while messing with your GPS. Me personally, I wouldn't put it any lower than where the stock head unit is.

As calin mentions, placing your GPS screen near the stick-shift is probably the worst position for this device. Viewing here is awful and not safe.

The Z has much better postions for GPS screens and self-contained devices. You might want to consider the upper/forward cubby, or simply mount your self-contained GPS on the dash... anywhere viewing is optimum (but not "low.")
