Default new audio system

Hey everyone i have a 2003 bose touring model with navi. Now i got a new headunit, and components for the front and coaxial for the rear. even though i know i didn't even need the rear, i figured i'd just throw a mediocre set in the back because i had them laying around. now i just want to know is that after i replace the headunit.... can i just take out the bose speakers and wire in the new speakers without having to run new speaker wire? i'm not running an external amp, because the headunit can run 60watts rms x 4 and i only need 50watts, so no external amp is necessary right now. is it possible to install the speakers and the crossovers for the fronts without having to run completely new wiring? lets face it the search function on here sucks. it gives me threads completely irrelavent to my topic. thank you so much.

I dont think you can do that. The Bose amp has to be removed and new speaker wires run from your head unit to the cross overs of you speakers and then to the drivers.

I think the Bose amp inputs are matched to outputs of the stock head unit.

You will probably need a wiring harness adapter and a dash kit as well. Rather than search, check the Audio / Video and DIY sections. You can probably find all the details there that you need.

Since you have to run new wires anyway, maybe consider getting a decent outboard amp.
