Default How do I put a radar detector in a 2008 Z

I just bought a 2008 Nissan 350Z and I want to take my radar detector from my tC and move it to the Z. But the plug for it is like in the back seat or something like that....am I missing something I really didn't look at the interior I just got back a few hours ago and went to bed.

So is there something I can plug it into in the front? Because I dont think the wire can extend that long..

there is a plug in front of the passenger seat if you haven`t noticed yet. its a flip down and will be located on the left near the transmission area.

That's cause you problably don't have one in the front. IIRC 2003's only have 1 plug, wasn't sure if it was in the front or back though.

03's have 1 plug in the back.

I wired my X50 using normal telephone wire (RJ-11 IIRC) and routed it to the dome light leads.

*edit* forgot to mention I also use a mount I bought from someone no this forum (can't remember name) but this made it easier to wire as its mounted to the rear view mirror mount.

Either tie it into your Homelink wiring on the rearview mirror or run it under the headliner down to the fuse box. Or add one. My V1 is hardwired in to the rear view mirror and hangs on a bracket available from a couple of sites

Hardwiring to the powered mirror > all other options. OP, if you have the Homelink-equipped mirror in yours, get an Invisicord www.invisicord.com and hardwire it. Takes seconds to install and looks clean.

I have a V-1 Z mount with the wiring if anyone is interested. Fits under the rear view mirror and hold the radar perfectly, wires also are hidden.
