Default Portable Navigation with 6.5-7" touchsceen

Does it exist? I saw a generic one at Fry's (can't remember the brand, but it was no-name and looked like crap). I checked Garmin's site and the largest I can find is a 5.4". Does anyone know if a 7 incher exists?

I've never seen one that big. Seems like the whole "portable" thing kinda gets lost if it's that big.

It also sounds extremely expensive, probably more then a double-din would cost, or a fahrenheit screen + kenwood navi/gps unit.

These are two largest name brand ones I've seen, you can probably Google/froogle the products for better pricing.

Pioneer AVIC-F500BT
AVIC-F Series Portable GPS Navigation with 5.8" LCD Touch Screen and Built-in Bluetooth

Sony NV-U83T
4.8" Portable Navigation System with Built in Bluetooth:

That Pioneer model looks good. I am going to measure everything up and see if there is a way i can get it to fit in the upper cubby of my 03. I have the 7" Farenheit in there now but I am willing to shrink it down for something that is touch screen.

Your FarenheitT-7000MHR fits perfectly (as you already know) in the Z’s upper/forward cubby.

The AVIC-F500BT Pioneer Portable Navigation Unit won’t fit perfectly in the upper/forward cubby. In fact it may not fit at all since it is too wide and depends upon a “mounting stalk.”

Farenheit T-7000MHR
Dimensions (W × H × D): 177.8mm × 127mm × 22.8mm

AVIC-F500BT Pioneer Portable Navigation Unit
Dimensions (W × H × D): 184.8mm × 98.1mm × 29.7mm

Notice that the Pioneer device is wider and not as tall. That translates to custom fabrication to fit the Pioneer AVIC-F500BT into the Z’s upper/forward cubby, and you also need to deal with the “mounting stalk.”

If you want touch screen function for a GPS system in the upper/forward cubby, you should use this setup:

Kenwood LZ-702W

Kenwood KNA-G520 Black Box Navigation

________________
If you want a scalable CES that you can control fully using a touch screen in the upper/forward cubby, go with the Kenwood KOS System. You need these components for this implementation:

Kenwood KOS-L702 Touch Screen LCD Monitor

Kenwood KOS V1000 Controller (shown above) or Kenwood KOS V500 Controller

Kenwood KNA-G520 Black Box Navigation
