no guage lights after deck install
Need help here guys. I am currently having the same problem (gauge lights, pod lights, and radio are all off), where the mirror fuse was blown and replaced 4 times. When I replace the fuse and turn the car on, the fuse gets blown. Should I be checking somewhere else? Will I need to replace the BCM?
I believe the problem started when I had the car running, turned it off, then started it right back up again too fast (without waiting for the car to die).
The radio in the car is an aftermarket unit, and its been in there for a few years...so I think it has nothing to do with the radio.
Also note that I did check all fuses in the kick panel and by the battery. And the only fuse that was blown s the mirror fuse.

Update:
I disconnected my radio, left the gauge pod and amp connected....nothing.
I disconnected the radio and the gauge pod, but left the amp connected...nothing.
I disconnected the radio, gauge pod, and amp (disconnected the power and ground)...and everything lights.
Connected everything back and it seems that I had to reset the amp for some reason. I checked the fuses on the amp and there were still good. Not sure what happened to the amp or why it needed a reset, but I'm guessing it had some kind of fail safe.
Any thoughts?
