I searched before I attempted to install and found out that black/brown wire is 12 volt and black one remains as ground. Well, I plugged it in as such and V1 does not turn off when the car is off... what am I doing wrong?

Here is the pic of the harness (ground got disconnected when I unplugged the harness... it was plugged in before)

 

Have you try the red wire with the REd/black (Acc power) and Black (ground).

Actually no, but I just did and it worked! lol... I just read on here that it was brown one and I went by that... I should have checked the red/black one too... duhhh

Glad you fixed it, how do you have the V1 mounted? Got any pictures? I need to hardwire mines.

 

I bought my V1 from fellow forum member and he also sent me "Mike's mount" and Stealth Cord. Do some searches here and you'll find where you can get Mike's mount or some other mount
