To answer your question if they can make an Ipod work with your stock radio(if you have a non-bose) for only $85 is a good price. The only other alternative to make a Ipod connect to your stock non-bose head unit would be to buy the USA Spec Ipod Interface cable.

never tried on a stock unit but ask the audio store if an Iplug will hook up to the stock unit...its by for the clearest sounding and easiest to use..if it works it will be real cheap

If your primary concern is cheap and you have a factory head unit, you should consider a WIRED fm modulator/transmitter and an powered iPod to RCA cable. It will allow you to charge your iPod if the car is on or not. I like it better than a wireless fm transmitter because it feeds the audio signal to the radio through the antenna which gives better quality.
You will not be able to control the iPod through the head unit, but with such a small display screen on the H/U navigating from there is very difficult anyway.
Look for something like this:

Well you have an alpine headunit.... Hence why it is only $15 dollars. He has a stock radio therefore he would have to get a USA Spec iPod Interface cable and converter.

i didnt either but i did some further googling and found on 350ztech that it does work for 03' models even tho the website says 2004-2007. and saw another thread of someone using it in his 03 and said it is great. but u wouldnt happen to kno if there is a difference between the 6cd changer bose and the non 6cd changer or are they the same?
