Just make sure you get an Avenger antenna model year before 2007 if you don't want the "swirl". Other than that, they all look similar. I had a little short metal stubby antenna that looked cool but definitely did screw up my radio reception. Any of these is a good compromise.

I have the OEM antenna, and I cannot get good reception on any frequencies. They all sound like I'm 100 miles outside of town. Anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this?

Are you using an aftermarket head unit or stock?

Here's mine...
1.5" Stubby Antenna

I don't use my radio almost at all. So the poor reception isn't an issue. 160gb iPod FTW!!!!

Is the antenna hooked up to the unit??? That's the first thing I'd check.

I wish I would've seen this thread before last wednesday. I bought the S2000 antenna for $30 at my local Honda dealership. I tried the one from my gf's GMC Acadia, but the threads were a little too big.

Shitty Pioneer head unit was in the car when I bought it. I hate it! The installer must have used the worst single DIN conversion kit on the market. It squeaks and rattles all the time... I'm not very much in to car audio, but I may buy an AVIC Z3 to replace it with if I cannot find a solution to the terrible reception.

The installer probably didn't hook up the wire for the antenna amplifier which is why you have no reception.

any have a picture of an s2000 antenna, I went on ebay and found 2 different ones, (4 inch and 7 inch model) I then called a Honda dealership and they said it was $22.61 (I think) and he said he believed it was 2-3 inches at most. I have heard most other antennas completely kill your reception in many cases and the s2000 one doesn't and in some cases I've read it makes it better.

well i have the 07 avenger antenna and my reception did not change one bit. I also have a alpine iva-205 double din. no squeaks or rattles, excellent reception better than the factory head unit, and it made the factory speakers sound better although i am thinking on up grading them soon.
