It's clearly not mounted properly. There shouldn't be any play. You need to take the dash apart and check and tighten all the screws that hold the unit in place. Pretty easy to do but you need to use the search to find out how to take the dash apart.

What mounting kit did you use?

Obviously if you put pressure on the device and the rattle goes away, it's loose in its mount. I would take everything apart again, retighten, and that should fix the problem unless you have the wrong mounting kit.

Pics (straight on of the dash) would be helpful.

the mount seems fine.

BUT the damn unit itself is messed up.
the front screen is loose on the left botton corner.. no way to tighten it up

AHHH !!!!

Also my navi has been acting funky too.....

what should i do?? do they have a service center where i can repair?
OR should i just buy a new one?

^^ It sounds as though you have diagnosed the problem. It certainly needs a repair.

Is it an all-on-one unit with a rotating screen (to access the DVD slot)?

Post the head unit model number, type of in-dash kit, and pictures?

Without those ... tighten the screws.

^^ You might (probably?) have a defective unit. I would contact Kenwood support, describe the problem, and ask for a solution.

Be patient. Kenwood provides great support, but they might take a day to a few days to respond. They will provide an answer and a solution.
