Farenheit Monitor
hey guys i was wondering if anyone knew of a place to pick up a farenheit monitor to install in my cubby or if anyone had one on here they were wanting to get rid of. Anyone???
The monitor you are looking for is sold under these brand names (same monitor, just a different name):
You can find this monitor on eBay. If you don’t like eBay, you can buy the monitor here (it's labeled as Power Acoutik):

- Farenheit T-7000MHR
- Power Acoustik PT-700MHR
- NESA Vision NSM-7005 7"

Clarification: The PT-718TS does have touch-screen function, but that feature only works with devices from Power Acoustik (for example, a Power Acoustik head unit).

Guys never mind what i said before, i just found out what the problem was. The monitor was not getting enough juice from the positive wire, i didn't crimp the wire the right way, i tested the monitor in straight to the battery and it worked : ).
I bought the monitor with the touch screen option because maybe down the line there will be a need for it, you never know new things comes up all the time and it's just an extra 10 to 15 dollars.
There won’t be any “need (use) for it” unless you buy a H/U from Power Acoustik (but of course that is a possibility).
With this said, I agree with you. The PT-718TS is the newest model and doesn’t cost more, so why not buy this LCD?
I mention the fact that this monitor doesn’t support touch-screen with anything other than Power Acoustik devices so that someone doesn’t purchase this and think they now have touch-screen function. It would work with a CarPC, but that would be a foolish marriage since the Power Accoustik PT-718TS doesn’t support RGB and does not have a VGA connector.

The only good thing about the touch screen option is that i can switch from AV1 to AV2 right from the monitor. I will post some pictures when i'm done with my setup, i should be able to finish this weekend.
My Power Acoustik PT-700MHR has only one A/V input, but I placed a rocker switch between the seats (near where the Z has its seat heater switches). I use this physical switch to toggle among three different A/V inputs. In fact using a physical switch, there is no limit on the number of A/V inputs you have with any remote monitor.
You didn’t mention this, but I believe you can also use the touch-screen functions in the Power Acoustik PT-718TS to access and change the monitor’s settings (e.g., aspect ratio, brightness, etc.). I suppose this isn’t much of an advantage (and why you don't mention it) since these are usually one time settings that are not changed after the initial setup.

Is your expectation/desire to use the Power Acoustik PT-718TS monitor’s touch-screen function to control navigation using touch-screen, or just display the video image?

True. But here is a different approach.

Is your plan to display navigation on the Power Accoustik PT-718TS?
If yes, what navigation device are you using?
