trying to get ipod or other mp3 to the head unit. not sure how i can do that on non-bose 2003 model.

USA-Spec PA11-NIS should work - search for it.

based on their pdf, it does not support 2003, and starts from 2004 to 2007. weird...

It works on my 2003 with the Bose system. I'm not sure why their site says that. I know some people on this forum have used it on the non-Bose system too, but I'm not sure what year their Z was.
