Default dynamat vs peacepad?

I no the saying you get what you pay for but a friend ran across this and though I might want to try it out instead of spending a lot more via dynamat. Anyone heard of this stuff? Tried googling but could find absolutely nothing.

Just order a roll of Rammat which is best bang for buck and almost as good as Dynamat Extreme...

is it asphalt/tar based type deadner? If so dynamat is far better stuff. Also look at Raamat (great value) or secondskinaudio(ultra premium)..

I've read a lot of good things about Raamat any suggestions on where to purchase it from? Where's the best deal? Also when installing any type of sound deadner, do you need to apply more then one layer?

buy it directly from Rick... google rammat and get the website... it's around $144 shipped for 60 sq ft. I applied 1 layer to my trunk and hatch this weekend and I think I can notice that it's slightly quieter in the car... after i install the sub and rest of the stuff... I'll see if it rattles and if it does I'll install one or two more layers everywhere. I have PLENTY of Rammat left by the way.

can anyone hear compare raamat to say dynamat. I found a lot of posts about dynamat but couldn't find anything comparing raamat to dynamat. Most everything I found was just a little bias remark w/ no info such as "dynamat is better" or "Raamat is waaay better then dynamat" no actual explanation of what they personally think it is better. Any idea how many sq ft I would need to doors and trunk area? I've read 12sq ft per door somewhere. Any idea how much is needed for entire car.

Looking through some of the audio builds it seems like it takes a total of 60-80sqft to do the whole car once.

raamat is a good value. dynamat, unless you find it cheap someplace, is over priced. If you are willing to spend dynamat prices, secondskinaudio products are better...

Dynamat is good stuff, just theres better for the money...

I used raamat throughout my Z, ordered it through Rick and couldn't be more pleased. You can sometimes find a good deal on Dynamat on www.woofersetc.com, but its all a matter of timing. I think Rick would still be cheaper and just as good.
