Hi all,

Had my '08 Touring Coupe since November. Love the car, hate the stereo. I wasn't expecting a lot from a stock radio, but this this is annoyingly bad. It's the Bose XM radio.
I'm looking for a replacement head unit, as "drop-in" as possible, that has AM/FM/XM, plus maybe HD Radio, and definitely looking for something that I can plug my iPod into. I could live without CD. Never use 'em any more.

I went looking over at Crutchfield a couple of months ago and thought I found a bunch, but looking there today, unless I was looking in the wrong spot, I couldn't find any.

If anybody has any experience with any of the units they liked, I'm looking for recommendations.

Do you want nav? And more importantly, what's your budget?

 

Don't need nav, as I have the factory nav, and don't really use that. Got it kind of by default because I wanted the side aibags.

Budget is pretty much wide open. I'm not looking to spend thousands if I don't have to, but OTOH I certainly am not expecting to find something that does all that for $200.

im in same boat as you need nice dvd in dash but no navi and i think the ddx812 is way to go

the new pioneer have smaller screens and ugly buttons unless u jump into there nav series and the new eclipse are not made like they used to be
