In Dash Nav/DVD Advice Please!
I'm looking to add a double din nav/dvd/sat radio, etc unit.
- Any recommendations on brand, unit, etc.?
- I want to be able to utilize my steering wheel controls for audio
- I want the Nav to be accurate like Garmin for example
- Also, putting in new Nav locations while driving would be nice
Any suggestions or ideas would be great!!! Thanks!!

If you don't get many responses it will probably be because this question gets asked every week or so. But I will give you some tips.
Atleast look through recent threads to see what other members are using and talking about. It will give you some great ideas that can alter your original wish list. For example, you may end up wanting to put a screen in the upper cubby once you see how others have utilized that space. Then you can ask some detailed questions and get better replies.
Also, you have to give a budget. Otherwise you will get recommendations from one end of the spectrum to the other.

I got a Pioneer AVIC-F700BT from onlinecarstereo.com for $429. If you read some bad things about it, they have fixed a lot of stuff with the new software update. Any unit purchased should come with that new software.
I'm installing mine this weekend. It looks pretty sweet to me.
It's hackable too. avic411.com has things on there about running other navigation programs like TomTom or Garmin on it if the stock nav doesn't do it for you.
