Default Stock Head Unit Wiring

Hey guys, I've been researching a slight upgrade in my sound system. Right now I'm looking at just upgrading the door speakers and tweeters and adding an amp to give them some power. The problem is I have a non-Bose head unit, which, I believe doesn't have RCA outputs (am I right on that?). Is it still possible to wire in an amplifier? I'm not going to upgrade the head unit because I want to keep the stock appearance.

Thanks in advance for the help

You need a wiring harness adapter

You could run high level outputs from this to an amp but I'm not positive on the impedance on the high level outputs of the stock head unit. Search the forum for that info.

Thanks, can you run me through what its adapting? Does it just sent the speaker outputs from the headunit to the amplifier?

I'm pretty sure that is not what you need. That harness would be used if you're putting in an aftermarket HU with stock speakers.
