i bought the kenwood z910dvd only to find out today that it doesnt play cd-r's and cd-rw's, i need a head unit that plays all those BUT cd-r's (and i already have the farenheit screen).....what is a good head unit that plays all those things, and for around $400-500 (even used)

 

Doesn't exist from what I could find...

I picked the Eclipse 9005 for DVD and CDR, etc... works nice.

I WISH it had the VCD part thou...

 

It sounds like you need a in car pc.

 

Why not just add a changer that plays cd-rs and cd-rws? My new head unit plays dvds,dvd-audio and cds so I am putting in a 8 disc changer for the burned cds.

 

buy one of those portable vcd player that plays mp3, put it in the conter storage box, then wola!

last year I purchase a dvd, vcd, svcd, mp3, cd-r playe (not head unit) online (ebay) made by pyle...the unit is smaller than you standard size single din unit...maby you can install it in the compartment behing the passenger

 

oh the price for te pyle unit was under $200
