for impatient people that cant wait the 20 seconds for start up. they expect it to boot up instantly (even though it is a small computer) and shave them on the way to work

also remember this
Most companies will not honor their warranty unless purchased through an authorized dealer. all of my stuff was purchased through an authorized dealer. if you buy from an unauthorized person you will be screwed if it messes up and more times than not the serial number has been ground off rendering it "non-serviceable". if you want serviceable products you need them from an authorized dealer.

+1 I have the Pioneer F700 and its the best out there IMO. The user interface is the probally the easiests to use out of other units. My friend has the F900 and its the same thing. I just cant put a dvd and play it. Thats why you have the ipod cable lol. I got mine for $340 new from circuit city when they were going out of business. The ipod cable I had to buy was $35 from best buy. You can find them for around $400 if you look online. You cant go wrong with it. Best bang for your buck.

i'd check you local shop for the F-series boot-up time and see if you can live with that or not...i hear its like a minute for full functionality (even with update)...other than that its a KILLER deck with functionality that even some higher end decks dont have...
i really like the JVC KW-NX7000 is a pretty good deck too and i seriously considered getting one...its the only screen that i know of with a removable face

^ 20-30 seconds to music, <5 seconds to backup camera, 30-60 (at random) to menus.
Bluetooth, Nav, Ipod control, voice control, a nice screen, upgradeable (its windows CE), etc. makes it a very nice headunit. Sometimes its slow and boot up takes a bit of time, but its perfect for me.
