Default Audio/video install help? custom?

i have a 2009 370z and i see that some of you have an LCD or navi/dvd screen/unit in the upper portion of the dash above the radio. Im looking to do something like this in my 370 but i dont believe it has been done yet by anyone. Im in the tri-state area and looking for someone who can do this. Also pics of this done in the 350 would be great as well as any other suggestions

Not quite the same… Paul shows his solution for the 2003 model (where it was a simple drop-in for a 7” monitor). But, his point showing pictures from the original thread (I believe it’s in the “Audio Builds” section with 14K views) is that you can mount a 7” LCD screen in any Z. The “degree of difficulty” goes from a simple drop-in with the 2003 to a slightly more complicated installation with any Z.

You can do this installation on any Z past the 2003 model. It only requires some very simple custom fabrication (cutting out the rear pocket on some model, and adding a finishing-flange and a custom bracket, which can be as simple as some wiring-straps, to hold the monitor in place).

If custom fabrication is past your comfort level or ability, you can simply hire a Professional Installer to do the job. This is an easy task that is not expensive. Show the installer Paul’s great pictures. It’s a “no-brainer” after that.

People keep asking the same question: Can you install a 7” LCD screen in the Z’s upper/forward cubby?

The answer is YES, and it’s easy, no matter what model or year Z you have.
