Default replacing bose sub

I want to replace the factory Bose sub in my 04 350Z. I was just wondering how hard it would be to replace it with an aftermarket sub and also if the factory amp will support an aftermarket sub. I'm not much on electronics......................

You can't replace the Bose sub with an aftermarket one. The factory amp does not have enough power to run a decent aftermarket subwoofer.

You would need to replace the factory amp, and build an enclosure where the Bose sub is located.

I was kind of afraid of that... I had a precision power 400 watt amp in the car I traded in for my Z but I sold it and my other stereo equipment to pay for my insurance!!!! Guess I should have held on to it.... Thanks for the info!
